      Nearest postcode NE61 4JT

Directions – A1 north to Newcastle then 20 miles north-west (A696, airport/Ponteland road), and turn off onto B6342 to Cambo. Follow the B6342 past Wallington, after approx. 2 miles there is a sharp (90 degree) right hand bend after another mile you’ll arrive at crossroads with parking straight ahead. A1 to Morpeth (A192) then west through Mitford (B6343) and turn right at Dyke Neuk and travel through Longwitten (parking at crossroads about a mile further on). Via A68 watch for signs for Rothbury/Wallington and turn right onto B6342, then as above.

Grid Ref: NZ 04384 89656, is for parking.

For those with magical mystery tour gadgets the nearest postcode is NE61 4JT. Please note if travelling in an easterly direction you’ll drive past your final destination and those travelling westerly will need to carry on until you reach the crossroads. All of this is dependent on the route your device suggests…

Yet again NT at Wallington is making us very welcome. Anyone attending the foray, regardless of whether they are NT members can use their facilities, refreshments, toilets etc. Please arrive promptly [no staying at Wallington ;-)], as we will have to make our way from the parking to Rothley Lakes. We have also kindly been allocated a ranger to introduce the site to us.

To the best of my knowledge the paths (if any) are fairly level with little in the way of incline.
