September 16 Wynyard Alan Simkins
By Car From A1(M): Leave A1M at junction 60, signposted Bishop Auckland/Teesside and A689. Join the A689 following signs for Sedgefield and Hartlepool. Continue over the first roundabout. At the second roundabout, take second exit onto Stockton Road (A177). After 4 miles, leave Stockton Road (A177) and turn left onto Wynyard Road after speed camera (signposted Wolviston). Continue along Wynyard Road. Turn left into estate at “Golden Gates” (signposted). From A19
Leave A19 at A689, signposted Durham, Bishop Auckland and A1M. Continue straight over first roundabout (Wynyard Park). Take first exit (left) at second roundabout into Wynyard Village (The Wynd). Follow road through village and turn left onto Wellington Drive (signposted Wynyard Golf Club and Wynyard Hall). Turn right into Wynyard Hall estate (signposted).
These instructions will take you to Wynyard Hall. Just before turning in to the Hall on your left, keep going and follow the signs to the Grand Marquee and Gardens. Park in the expansive car park at the Tea Rooms where you will be met.

Foxglove LNR is 4 miles from the A1 in Catterick Garrison, near Richmond, North Yorkshire. The Post Code for satellite navigation is DL9 3PZ. The Grid Reference is SE160972. It is on the Northallerton and Ripon 1:50000 O.S.Landranger Map no 99. Access is via Cambrai Lines front gate. You will be asked to show photographic ID on entry to the barracks ( Passport, Driving Licence with photo on or bus pass with photo are all acceptable. Usually it is only the driver who needs this ID, but it would be best if everyone brings ID, just in case.)

From the north on the B1363 turn right at the Fairfax Arms in Gilling East. Continue down that road which turns into a track (which is a bit rough) to the Gilling lakes. Meet at 10.30am at SE588766, where there is limited parking on the left hand side of the road and access to the bottom lake.
