Sporocarps clustered1-2mm, peridium white, calcareous. Inner peridial layer grey. Basal columella orange, pulvinate, elongate in sporocarp. Internal base of sporocarp with orange colouration. Spores spinulose, 11.3um. Spore mass dark brown/black. Capillitium dark, rugose with paler ends, some bifuricated.
Collection, Cheviot East side from Scald Hill 7/5/16 (JR), confirmed B.Ing. There have been three other UK collections – Cross Fell, Helvellyn and Skiddaw.
