      When trying to id fungi, how can a check be made on whether or not it grows in the area?
      I know there are dedicated folk who do record finds for Counties and vice counties, but where do you look to check the records?
      Any help or instructions would be appreciated.

      Hi Christine.
      Go to CATE2 and hit the public access >species records>filter.
      Start typing in to the top box the name of your species. Very Important! You MUST select from the drop down Iist.
      Now type in to ANY other boxes– VC, dates, names etc. but LET THE SYSTEM FIND THE SELECTED INPUT.
      When you have the necessary inputs, hit filter and up will come all finds that suit the parameters.

      Let me know how your searching goes….all the 2013 records are on CATE2 already!
