      Spotted this cup in Galloway, Scotland over Easter – not collected as only 1 and microscope at home.
      The only ID that matches is pseudoplectania nigrella –
      -black cup; 2.5cm; black smooth inner; black matt woolly hairy outer; crusty woolly margin; black flesh; no stem
      -on mossy needle littered mound in mature conifer plantation.
      It’s rare – only found in (more northern) Scotland and Wales.
      Is there anything similar that I’ve missed? – thoughts appreciated….
