Field slips on forays…do they work?

Field Slips were introduced to help the foray “owner” compile the species list. The idea worked for a while but is not consistently applied, When this happens we should question the procedure. Good procedures catch on…bad ones don’t.
Of course, we must give any process a fair trial.
What do you think?
Is it worth pursuing?
